so shit didn't work out
and from southern california i went to portland to meet my lover, total disaster. he left me in portland and i followed him to bellingham, i cornered him and he told me to leave. why? because he's afraid i will leave him, he doesn't want to start it up with me again. i'm going back through portland and then to northern cal, just so i can swim in the ocean and hang out in the trees and sleep a good sleep and dream a good dream.

redwoods and ocean, here i come.

kick him in the balls and then enjoy your time here in Portland. :-) Find a nice river to jump into or a waterfall to wash all the crap away.

yah, i always have a good time in portland. definitely looking for some water to wash everything away again. i won't be kicking him in the balls though, i'm much too understanding of love and lovers to do such a thing. :)

Roundabouts where in NorCal? I visit up there fairly regularly, so if you're going to be somewhere near where I'm going, I'd love the chance to visit you.

i'll be hanging around arcata for a month or two, heading through san francisco to visit with some friends and then i'll be back in L.A. in the fall. so if i don't see you in sf then i'll probably see you in southern cal again!

I go to San Francisco (well, Berkeley) fairly often, so if you let me know when you'll be there, I can make an effort to come up around then. If not, seeing you in Los Angeles would be just as good.

we both agree that it might be best for both of us if we take a break for now.

i just find that "break for now" usually leads to forever.
and that idea makes me sad.

i'm going to go find my home, and settle down for a while, i hope. i'm a tired and weary traveller!

This sounds like a person you do not need in your life. It is okay to miss the love but you need to move on from the disaster. It is much harder to see through things when you are standing on the edge. . after time you will see there is right in parting.

but still, i sleep inside the tree that was the tree when we were a we.

i don't know why i came to california again, but at least the woods are offering comfort and healing.
